SINGAPORE (Oct 15): Most of the world’s companies are considering more high-tech cybersecurity protection, but not budgeting enough to meet their organisations’ requirements nor making it an integral part of their overall business strategy and execution plans.  

This is according to the EY Global Information Security Survey 2018-19 (GISS), which included the views of more than 1,400 C-level cybersecurity and risk leaders across organisations whose revenues range from less than US$10 million to over US$10 billion.

The survey found that 87% of organisations operate with a limited budget to provide for the level of cybersecurity and resilience that they require. 55% said their companies do not make cybersecurity an integral part overall business strategy and execution plans.
