The Green Link Digital Bank (GLDB) is one of the organisations running on Huawei Cloud and seeing the benefits of it.
The Singaporean digital bank selected Huawei Cloud as it provides standardised security compliance processes and tools, is fully compatible with open-source community products and supports cloud-native services such as containers and cloud-native databases. Huawei Cloud also offers 24/7 professional services, which will respond to core system breakdowns in less than 15 minutes and reply to general queries in less than 16 hours.
GLDB was the first digital bank to operate in Singapore in 2022 and this was due to it being quickly certified for security compliance by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. With Huawei Cloud as its backbone, GLDB can be assured its data in Singapore remains in the country because only network access points are provided when data is transferred across borders. Furthermore, Huawei Cloud Connect facilitates secure remote access for employees while upholding the principle of least privilege.
GLDB also gained agility with Huawei Cloud. For instance, it shortens the time to develop and roll out new features, such as online loan applications. Since the cloud platform enables fast data analysis, the bank can approve online loans quickly to provide customers with a reliable and convenient experience.
Besides that, GLDB is future-proofing itself by interconnecting Huawei Cloud with more than 50 ecosystem partners compatible with open source. This open architecture ensures GLDB's technological neutrality, enabling it to nimbly adapt to evolving market demands, customer preferences, and regulatory landscapes.
