Siam Coconut has enhanced its delivery fleet's operational efficiency and accuracy by deploying Zebra Technologies with the help of independent software vendor OrangeKloud.

The supplier of coconuts in Singapore distributes daily to more than 600 establishments including major hotel chains, restaurants, beach bars, ice creameries, and bubble tea stores. It uses Zebra’s ZQ511 and ZQ521 mobile printers to print a list of goods to be loaded onto the company’s delivery trucks every morning as part of an internal auditing process. Subsequently, the printers print receipts, which customers endorse on when they receive the goods.

According to Zebra, the ZQ511 and ZQ521 mobile printers are designed to withstand significant drops, tumbles, accidents, and environmental extremes common in mobile workplaces where Siam Coconut distributes. They can also do more on a single battery charge as they come with Zebra’s patented Power Smart Print Technology that delivers the exact amount of power required for the highest quality printing.

“Prior to adopting Zebra’s mobile printing solution, our processes were done manually, which was very time-consuming and often prone to human errors. Besides the need for accurate printing capabilities, we needed ruggedised mobile printers that can withstand our tough working environment and come with long battery life to support the entire work shift of our delivery fleet,” says Kelvin Ngian, general manager of Siam Coconut.
