DBS launches new banking API developer platform; India holds greatest promise for fintech partnerships

SINGAPORE (Nov 2): DBS Group Holdings has launched what it says to be the world’s first and largest banking API (application programming interface) developer platform.

The API platform will boost the bank’s lead in creating innovative and customer-centric experiences, by making available a wide array of APIs for other brands, corporates, fintechs and software developers to plug into, DBS says in a statement.

There are 155 APIs at launch for Singapore across more than 20 categories such as funds transfers, rewards, PayLah! and real-time payments, DBS says.
