SINGAPORE (Oct 13): Assets invested in exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and exchange-traded products (ETPs) listed in Asia Pacific ex-Japan grew by 19.1% y-o-y to reach US$154 billion ($208.6 billion) by end Sept, according to the latest report from research and consultancy firm ETFGI.

Based on preliminary data from ETFGI’s September 2017 insights, this came from the region’s ETF/ETP industry of 1,153 ETFs/ETPs comprising 1,303 listings and assets of US$154 billion, from 122 providers listed on 17 exchanges across 14 countries.

Total net inflows for September alone stood at US$262 million, which marks five straight months of net inflows and US$920 million of net inflows in the year to date.
