SINGAPORE (Oct 11): Giant today announced the launch of VendMart, the concept of several vending machines retailing products from local companies under a single roof, at its Tampines and IMM Jurong hypermarkets.

In a press release on Wednesday, the supermarket chain says VendMart is a first-of-its-kind partnership with local companies to bring together a total of 17 vending machines, offering products and services from brands such as restaurateur House of Seafood and food manufacturer Mr Popiah, as well as Farmily, a gardening tool supplier.

A dedicated Halal and Islamic vending machine is also available, and contains essential oils and headscarves, among other items, for retail.
