SINGAPORE (June 15): Satellite communications equipment provider Global Invacom Group has entered into a partnership with PT ANTA Mediakom to supply up to 14,000 Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs) to an Indonesian customer.

The VSATs can be rapidly installed on buildings as a substitute for or to complement traditional land-based fibre-optic cables.

Designed and developed by Skyware Global, an American subsidiary of Global Invacom, an initial 4,500 VSAT terminals have been shipped to the customer. The remaining units are expected to be delivered by 2017.
