Starting the design journey, both UNStudio and Ahrend were enthusiastic about infusing sustainability into every aspect of Remode, resulting in a chair crafted from durable, eco-conscious materials and built for longevity through repair, replacement, and recycling. This philosophy paves the way for a chair that not only aids users in comfort but also reduces environmental impact.

Established in 1988 by Ben van Berkel and Caroline Bos, UNStudio is a Dutch architectural design studio renowned for its expertise in architecture, interior architecture, product design, urban development, and infrastructural projects. The name 'UNStudio' symbolises United Network Studio, reflecting the collaborative ethos that defines the studio's practice.
