The who’s who of the furniture and design industry visited the flagship store of Space Furniture Singapore on Oct 20 to celebrate the Australian retailer’s 30th birthday. The occasion also marked the big reveal of the showroom’s newly revamped foyer, which was brought to life by WOHA Architects.
Among the glitzy line-up of guests were interior designer to the stars Peter Tay and Italian architect and art director of B&B Italia, Piero Lissoni, who attended all of Space’s week-long celebrations in Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore for a series of dinners, talks, interviews and parties.
In a special message to his Singapore partners, group CEO for Asia Pacific, Leighton Clarke, reflected on his 20-year journey with the brand and shared his appreciation for all those who worked with him over the years.
Clarke says: “As we celebrate such a big milestone by looking back over the years at Space’s richly layered story, I would like to take this moment to thank you. Our clients and suppliers, collaborators and staff, some of you have been part of the Space family from the start; others are just beginning their journey; all of you help shape who we are.”
He continues: “From the creativity of the architects and designers, we have the pleasure of collaborating with all our wonderful residential clients who allow us to step into their homes and lives; thank you for your wonderful support and for continuing to inspire us with the spaces you create.”
Here’s to many more successful years ahead. Congratulations, Space!
