SINGAPORE (June 9): IHH Healthcare, together with its strategic partner Taikang Insurance Group and joint venture (JV) partner Shanghai Hongxin Medical Investment Holding, today broke ground for Gleneagles Shanghai Hospital.

Gleneagles Shanghai, a 450-bed multi-specialty general hospital in the Shanghai New Hongqiao International Medical Center (NHQIMC), is slated to open in 2020 and will be built on a 35,754 sq m site acquired on a leasehold basis for 50 years.

It is expected to require RMB1.36 billion ($280 million) in capital expenditure.
