SINGAPORE (Aug 30): KOP is in “advanced talks” for a second entertainment resort project, even as it held its ground-breaking ceremony for the first, Wintastar Shanghai, on Thursday.

The second resort project, if it materialises, will be somewhere in the Middle East. “There will be very different Wintastars sprouting around the world,” says executive chairman Ong Chih Ching in an interview.

KOP owns 70% of the joint venture company that will be operating Wintastar Shanghai, which is located within the Lujiazhui District of Shanghai. The remaining 20% and 10% is held by two Chinese partners, one of whom is the local district government.
