SINGAPORE (March 30): Lazada Group is teaming up with multinational consumer goods giant Unilever in their first e-commerce cross-functional alliance, just days after launching a dedicated online store to bring products from China’s e-commerce platform Taobao, to Singapore.

The new partnership will be built on the recently-launched exclusive Unilever store on Lazada Singapore, where products from Unilever brands are already available to shoppers.

In a joint media release between Lazada and Unilever on Thursday, the two companies say they have signed an agreement to “build the e-commerce industry’s first end-to-end alliance in the region to generate rapid growth for both businesses across Southeast Asia”.
