SINGAPORE (July 9): Since the new Pakatan Harapan (PH) government came into power in Malaysia, it vowed to review all the mega projects that the previous Barisan Nasional (BN) government has undertaken.

One of which is the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore high-speed rail (KL-SG HSR). On May 28, prime minister Mahathir Mohamad said that he would scrap the project to curb unnecessary government spending.
