The Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) has appointed group CEO Helen Wong as its executive director on Feb 7.

Wong was appointed as the bank’s new group CEO on Jan 8, 2021, replacing former CEO Samuel Tsien. Upon her appointment, Wong became the first woman to head a Singapore bank.

Wong is also a director of Great Eastern Holdings, a member of the OCBC Group.

As at 10.02am, shares in OCBC are trading 8 cents higher or 0.6% up at $13.08.
