South Korea’s biggest water music festival is set to make its debut in Singapore this August, and United Overseas Bank U11 (UOB) cardholders will be able to access pre-sales for early bird and standard tickets in May.
Waterbomb Singapore 2024 will showcase over 10 South Korean and local artists from the pop, hip-hop and EDM genres over two days from Aug 24 to 25. The festival is expected to draw more than 20,000 festival-goers from Singapore and the region.
The water music festival is one of the largest summer music festivals in South Korea, and it has already ventured into Japan and Thailand. The full artist line-up will be revealed in the coming weeks, say organisers Viu and Evergreen Group Holdings on April 12.
With UOB as presenting sponsor, early bird tickets will be available to UOB cardholders on May 2. Tickets will be available to the general public on May 3 through official ticketing partner KKday.
The UOB early bird pre-sale and UOB standard tickets presale are applicable for the following UOB Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards: UOB Visa and Mastercard credit cards issued in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia or Vietnam (including TMRW credit cards issued in Thailand or Indonesia); UOB Visa and Mastercard debit cards issued in Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand (including TMRW debit cards issued in Thailand); Citi-branded Visa and Mastercard credit cards issued in Malaysia, Thailand or Vietnam; and Citi-branded Visa and Mastercard debit cards issued in Malaysia, Thailand or Vietnam.
UOB cut a similar deal for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour dates, which played for six nights in March.

Swift’s fans drove more than 23,000 transactions over the three-day concert ticket sales period in July 2023 for her six shows in Singapore.
UOB credit and debit cardholders spent over $30 million on tickets to Swift’s concerts during the UOB pre-sale, reserved tickets on-sale and general sale.
Of the total amount, Singapore-registered cards made up the bulk of the spending at almost 75% of the total billings. UOB’s Singaporean cardholders spent $46 million in total on concert tickets in 2023, of which $39 million went towards concert ticket sales for Western pop acts.
Malaysian Swifties were next, contributing over 10% of total billings while Thai and Indonesian fans claimed over 5% apiece.
Almost a third of UOB cardholders who purchased tickets to Swift’s concerts used cards that were issued outside of Singapore. Nearly 40% of these cardholders were previously customers from Citigroup, which UOB acquired.
