SINGAPORE (July 31): CapitaLand, through its philanthropic arm CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), has established a $2 million charity fund with an aim to “assist and empower the elderly in Singapore”.

CapitaLand Silver Empowerment Fund (CSEF) aims to improve the quality of life for vulnerable elderly in Singapore by providing the healthcare, deeper social integration, and living conditions.

To do this, CSEF has partnered non-profit organisation Community Chest Singapore to identify, fund and volunteer in projects to support vulnerable elderly aged 60 and above over a three-year period. Through Community Chest, the fund also intends to join up with social service providers and support programmes, to work on initiatives beyond just providing financial assistance.
