Alpha DX Group is assisting a probe by the Commercial Affairs Department related to an offence under the Securities and Futures Act.
The company was known as Alpha Energy Holdings as recent as March 5, under previous controlling shareholders and management.
In an announcement via the Singapore Exchange in the evening of April 20, the company said it received a notice from the white collar crime unit earlier in the day to provide documents and items related to the alleged offence between Jan 1 2019 and Nov 30 2019.
“The board wishes to inform that the current management and board of the company are not the subject of the aforementioned investigation,” says the company, adding that all requested documents and information will be provided to the CAD.
The company says its business and operations are not affected by the investigations and will continue as normal.
“The company has extended and will continue to extend its fullest co-operation to the CAD in its investigations and will make further announcements as and when there are further significant developments concerning this matter,” the company adds.
Clarification note:
This article has been amended to reflect the company's clarification on April 21 that it is assisting with the CAD probe, and not the subject of the CAD investigations.
