AEM Holdings, the solutions provider for the back-end testing of the semiconductor manufacturing process has announced the resignation of its CEO Chandran Nair effective June 30.
The release from AEM on May 30 notes that Nair is moving on the pursue other personal interests.
He will be replaced by Amy Leong as deputy CEO from May 30, and will take over the role of CEO from Jul 1. Leong was most recently the senior vice president and CCO at California-headquartered FormFactor.
“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Chandran for his contributions and the positive impact he has made on AEM in preparing the company for its next phase of growth. The semiconductor capital equipment industry is often cyclical and dynamic, with new industry leaders emerging from time to time. The past four years saw a boom preceding a severe downturn,” says Loke Wai San, non-executive chairman of AEM Holdings AWX .
Shares in AEM Holdings closed 2 cents higher or 1.031% up at $1.96.
