SINGAPORE (Sept 17): Jumbo Group has opened its second Tsui Wah outlet in Singapore, located at The Heeren along the Orchard Road shopping belt.
This comes on the back of the group’s opening of Singapore’s first Tsui Wah outlet in Clarke Quay in June 2018, which saw a positive response during its opening with many people queueing to enter the restaurant.

To recap, Jumbo entered into a joint venture (JV) with Tsui Wah Holdings in March last year to bring the famous Hong Kong-style “cha chaan teng” that specialises in Hong Kong dishes to Singapore. The two tea restaurants in Singapore are the only ones outside of China, Hong Kong and Macau.
The new Tsui Wah outlet occupies a total floor area of more than 4,800 sq ft. The restaurant has a total seating capacity of 192 seats, comprising quick service, alfresco, and indoor dining areas.
Ang Kiam Meng, group CEO and executive director of Jumbo, says, “We are excited about the opening of our second Tsui Wah outlet in Singapore in just over a year since we opened our first outlet in Clarke Quay. This further cements the great working relationship between Tsui Wah Holdings and Jumbo. The second outlet’s strategic location along Orchard Road will enable shoppers, tourists and locals alike, to partake in the Cha Chaan Teng experience right in the heart of Singapore’s shopping belt.”
As at 4.50pm, shares in Jumbo are trading flat at 38 cents.
