Phillip Securities has announced the launch of its institutional broking business following the success of its real-time US stock execution services during Asian hours. This strategic move not only complements their well-established retail business coverage but also signifies a commitment to serving institutional investors more comprehensively.
The institutional broking business introduces a comprehensive suite of services tailored to institutional clients, including customised trading solutions. Through its services, institutional clients can execute custom trades aligning with their specific investment strategies and objectives, and in-depth research and analysis provided by the PhilipCapital Group to help them make informed investment decisions.
Other services include dedicated account management and expanded exchange-traded fund (ETF) unit coverage providing top-notch liquidity through state-of-the-art market-making technology, as well as access to PhillipCapital Group's extensive network and partnerships to a broad range of global markets and asset classes, including the India and US markets.
The decision comes on the heels of Phillip Securities' recent achievements in real-time US stock execution services and demonstrates its proactive stance in adapting to the evolving needs of the financial market. The company is set to introduce additional enhancements to its trading platform, aiming to achieve 24-hour coverage for real-time US stock execution, positioning itself for continued growth.
A pivotal factor driving institutional business growth is securities lending and borrowing. PhillipCapital Group, as a major provider of hard-to-borrow equity, is enhancing liquidity and the settlement process in the marketplace. Securities lending also plays a crucial role in unlocking revenue streams and potential returns on retail clients' investment portfolios.
"The launch of our institutional broking business reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional financial services to institutional clients. We are excited to combine our extensive industry knowledge with the unique needs and objectives of institutional investors,” says Luke Lim, managing director of Phillip Securities.
