European aerospace leader, Airbus, and Singapore Technologies Engineering S63 (ST Engineering) have agreed to collaborate towards providing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for the former’s C295 tactical transport aircraft, to support the Asia-Pacific (APAC) users of Airbus' medium tactical airlifter fleet.
ST Engineering will support regional C295 fleets with depot-level maintenance and turnkey solutions at its existing facility in Singapore, as Airbus continues to extend its footprint in APAC.
Within APAC, the C295 is being used by the Royal Brunei Air Force, Royal Thai Army, Philippine Air Force, Vietnam People’s Air Force, Indonesian Air Force, Indonesian Police, and Bangladesh Army.

Sarbjit Singh, president of defence aerospace, ST Engineering, adds: “With this latest collaboration with Airbus, we are extending our MRO solutions in tactical airlifters to the C295 platform. Working closely with Airbus, we will harness our deep experience and capabilities in MRO to contribute to the mission success of C295 operators in the region.”
Shares in ST Engineering closed flat $3.92 on Feb 21.
