Mainboard-listed SIIC Environment Holdings has signed projects in Jiaxing City in the Zhejiang Province comprised of the 80,000 tonnes Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) project, 30,000 tonnes Reclaimed Water Plant project and 50,000 tonnes Pre-treatment project.
The company’s indirect 92.15%-owned subsidiary, Pinghu Dushan Wastewater Treatment, on April 7, signed a supplemental agreement on the Pinghu City Eastern WWTP project with Pinghu City Water Affairs Management Center, which involves a total investment of RMB750 million ($153.3 million).
The amount includes the expansion of the first stage of the third phase, new reclaimed water plant project as well as new pre-treatment facilities for a concession period from April 7 to Dec 31, 2046.

The Pinghu City Eastern project has a total designed capacity of 220,000 tonnes per day. Its first and second phases with a total designed daily capacity of 85,000 tonnes have already commenced commercial operation.
The third phase has a total designed daily capacity of 135,000 tonnes.
According to SIIC, the signing of the agreement is expected to contribute positively to its performance.
Shares in SIIC closed flat at 21 cents on April 16.
