SINGAPORE (Jan 17): Specialist engineering services company Tritech Group has bagged a contract worth $6.8 million from the Public Utilities Board (PUB).
In a regulatory filing on Friday, the group says that the contract, which was secured by its wholly-owned subsidiary Tritech Engineering and Testing, involves the installation of dam monitoring instruments for reservoirs in Singapore.
Under the contract, Tritech will design a Dam Automation Instrumentation Monitoring System (DAIMS), which monitors the geotechnical instruments deployed at reservoir dams/dykes in Singapore. The group is also required to alert PUB when any readings exceed the prescribed review levels.
Tritech will also engage a professional engineer to carry out relevant studies, as well as design an online webpage for access by PUB’s officers to monitor data at the respective locations.
The contract is expected to commence on Jan 23 and be completed by Jan 22, 2028.
Following the completion, there will be a defect which there will be a defects liability period of 12 months, under which Tritech will be responsible for any defects.
The contract is not expected to have a material impact on the consolidated earnings per share and net tangible assets per share of the group for the current financial year ending Mar 31.
Shares in Tritech closed flat at 0.2 cent lower, or down 8.3%, at 2.2 cents on Friday prior to the announcement.
