Bukit Sembawang Estates says its appointed third-party forensic advisor has concluded its investigation into the cybersecurity incident it suffered in August.
On Aug 13, the group announced that it had suffered a cybersecurity incident where an unknown party gained unauthorised access to certain IT servers and blocked off access to data contained within such servers.
According to a Sept 19 bourse filing, the group says the results of the investigation have indicated that “certain data of the group may have been compromised and potentially exfiltrated”.
The group has since notified the personal data protection commission and is set to notify affected individuals in compliance with its obligations under the law in respect of the incident.
The group adds that the incident has not affected the group’s ability to conduct its current business operations in any material respect currently.
The group says it has also “implemented several measures and processes to further enhance its cyber defences and security and shall continue with making efforts to bolster its tech resilience”.
