OUE Healthcare Limited (OUEH) says its joint venture hospital in China, Changshu Hospital, has entered a healthcare alliance agreement with Shanghai Changzheng Hospital, according to an Oct 7 release.
Currently, Changshu Hospital is operated by the group’s joint venture company, China Merchants Lippo Hospital Management (Shenzhen) Limited, specialising in premium obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatric and other related medical services
Changzheng Hospital is a public Grade 3A general hospital under military jurisdiction, known for its “excellent” results in medical treatment, teaching and scientific research, reads the release.
Under the agreement, the group says the alliance will serve as a “two-way green channel access” for patients of both hospitals.
Changshu Hospital is expected to host specialists from Changzheng Hospital to practise in Changshu Hospital. The agreement will also enable staff members from Changshu Hospital to attend training courses at Changzheng Hospital.
The group adds: “Changshu Hospital will have an opportunity to access a new market segment comprising military personnel and their family members.”

Yet Kum Meng, CEO of OUEH, says: “This win-win collaboration through sharing of medical resources between public and private hospitals will enable us to better serve the needs of our patients.”
Shares in OUEH closed flat at 2.9 cents on Oct 7.
