Pan-United Corp P52 is partnering with Singapore-headquartered renewable energy development company Cleantech Solar to provide turnkey solar solutions.
The project consists of about 900 solar panels on the rooftops of its operational headquarters in Kaki Bukit and its slag grinding plant in Johor, Malaysia.
Cleantech Solar expects to complete the installation in 1Q2024.
Cleantech Solar is backed by Keppel, Keppel Asia Infrastructure Fund and Shell Singapore. The project is part of an ongoing three-year memorandum of understanding signed in 2022 with Shell Singapore to explore decarbonisation solutions in the construction and urban solutions industries.
“Solar deployment in collaboration with Cleantech Solar supports our efforts in contributing to the sustainability goals under the ‘Energy Reset’ pillar of the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and brings us closer to our sustainability target of becoming a carbon-neutral ready-mix concrete company by 2050,” says Pan-United CEO May Ng.
Shares in Pan-United closed at an unchanged 38 cents on Feb 5.
