Electric car maker Nio, which had recently debuted on the Singapore Exchange (SGX), has delivered 7,024 vehicles in May, it said in a business update.
As at May 31, cumulative deliveries reached 204,936 vehicles.
The company said its vehicle production had been gradually recovering from the impact of Covid-19 outbreaks in certain regions in China in May, while vehicle deliveries were still constrained by the corresponding preventive measures.
Nio plans to further ramp up its production capacity to a higher level by working closely with supply chain partners and accelerating its delivery recovery starting from June — in light of the recent supportive developments in the Covid-19 situation and the strong order inflow
As of last month, Nio users’ cumulative mileage exceeded 5 billion kilometers, the company said.
Nio closed on the SGX 21 US cents higher or 1.2% up on June 1 at US$17.64.
