Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker Nio, which has a secondary listing on the Singapore Exchange (SGX), has announced the launch of the ES7, a smart electric mid-large SUV.

The car was launched via an online event on June 15.

The ES7, which comes with the Nio Digital System Banyan, is Nio’s first SUV on the second-generation technology platform, or NT2.0.

The five-seater SUV comes with the latest NIO autonomous driving (NAD). It is one of the first passenger vehicles in China that’s certified to tow a caravan or a trailer on public roads. The optional electric tow bar has a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 kg.

The ES7 can supply power to towed equipment. In addition, it also supports the camping mode and V2L discharging.

During the event, the “NIO Digital System for Evolving Smart Technology” also made its debut.
