Singapore-based fintech platform Hugosave has been jointly certified to be Shariah-compliant by a consortium led by knowledge platform Islamic Finance Singapore, member of Maybank Islamic Shariah Committee Ustaz Kamal Mokhtar as well as consultancy firms S Tradition and Masyref.

Hugosave’s offerings align with the principles of Islamic law, offering Muslim clients access to financial tools and additional avenues for investment opportunities grounded in their values and beliefs.

The six Shariah-compliant products offered by Hugosave are Hugosave accounts, Hugosave Visa platinum debit card, Hugosave money pots, Hugosave precious metals, Hugosave trust and Hugosave rewards centre.

The certification from the consortium reinforces Hugosave’s commitment to the Muslim community in Singapore, says its CEO David Ferguson. “This certification assures our Muslim clients that we are a trusted digital companion that is aligned with their faith,” he adds.
