Nikko Asset Management Co. Ltd. (Nikko AM) will be renamed to Amova Asset Management Co. Ltd. on Sept 1, 2025.

Nikko AM is headquartered in Tokyo with subsidiaries or affiliates in 11 countries and regions across four continents. This name change is part of the group’s global growth strategy, which aims to promote growth in Japan and develop in global markets.

According to Nikko AM, “Am” reflects the firm’s core business, asset management. “Mov” refers to “movement”, the firm’s adaptability and innovation in directing clients towards achieving their objectives in this evolving investment landscape. “Ova” is drawn from “Nova”, the Latin word for “new”, as the firm explores new ground and provides forward thinking solutions to remain at the forefront of the ever-changing financial landscape.

There has been no change to the firm’s ownership and the firm continues to be a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group.
