ABR Holdings’ managing director Ang Yee Lim has acquired 154,900 shares for $64,428.94 or 40.9 cents apiece via the market. The Mainboard-listed company, which began as the owner and operator of the first full-service Swensen’s ice cream restaurant in Singapore in 1979, is in the food and beverage (F&B) as well as property investments business.
Ang has been steadily increasing his stake via a series of purchases from the market, doing so on 12 separate occasions from Jan 19, 2024, to the latest purchase. In total, Ang has purchased 3.38 million shares in the period.
Following the transaction, which took place on Jan 17, Ang has a total of 108,131,601 shares, or 53.798% of the total number of ordinary shares held in the company.
For the 1HFY2024 ended June 2024, ABR Holdings reported earnings of $535,000, a 134.6% y-o-y improvement from earnings of $228,000 in the corresponding period the year before.
Shares in ABR Holdings closed 1 cent higher or 2.5% up at 41 cents on Jan 17.
