Delivery company Ninja Van is planning an IPO "a year away", says co-founder Chang Wen Lai in an interview with the Financial Times.
Citing unnamed sources, Ninja Van, with its most recent funding round of US$279 million last year, has hit unicorn status with a valuation of US$1 billion, the paper reported.
The listing is likely to take place in the US.
The company, backers include Facebook's Singapore-based co-founder Eduardo Saverin’s B Capital, is almost break-even and is targeting profitability next year.
Both orders - and revenue - has surged due to strong ecommerce growth.
Daily shipments have grown from 1 million items in May 2020 to 1.7 million in July.
Seven-year-old Ninja Van has 34,000 employees and 1,800 sorting stations.
