QT Vascular has announced the appointment of Kelvin Tong as its new Chief Financial Officer.
The company announced this follows his promotion from his previous role as the Group’s Financial Controller with effect from 1 September 2020. As CFO, Tong will assume the overall responsibility of the finance, accounting, tax and risk management functions of the Group and its subsidiaries.
The added Tong's qualification and experience make him a suitable candidate to assume the role of CFO, and also revealed Tong has been covering some of the duties and responsibilities of the previous CFO, Randal H. Farwell, during his predecessor's absence.
Prior to this appointment, Tong joined QT Vascular as Financial Controller in 2014 and oversaw the accounting and finance function of the Group
He was also responsible for the compliance and risk management functions of the Group, and also advised the Group on its risk management and compliance processes.
Prior to joining the Group, Tong was a Senior Manager with KPMG in Singapore, and spent over 13 years providing audit and review services with KPMG.
Shares of QT Vascular closed at 1.2 cents, down 0.2 cents or 14.29% from its previous close of 1.4 cents.
