Head was previously formerly the head of corporate banking, Singapore, at Citigroup. He comes with 17 years of experience within the bank itself and has extensive corporate finance and risk management experience as well as a strong client network that spans across local large corporates, public sector, financial institutions, and multinationals in Singapore.
“Gilbert’s track record in building a resilient client coverage business will further accelerate our growth in Singapore. As more global businesses look to set up their regional headquarters and treasury centres in Singapore to facilitate their growth in the region, it is critical that we can tap on his deep market knowledge to support our clients as they scale up,” says Wong Kee Joo, CEO of HSBC Singapore.
