Eco Management Korea (EMK), a subsidiary of Keppel Infrastructure Trust’s (KIT) trustee-manager, has re-appointed Lee Soo Young as its CEO.
Lee was EMK’s CEO since January 2020, where she played a key role in transforming and growing EMK into a leading environmental solutions provider in South Korea.
According to the company’s statement, EMK has outperformed its financial targets, including doubling its ebitda due to growth from its incineration business.
Lee has over 26 years of relevant industry experience in the environment business, and has served as the CEO of Kolon Water & Energy, one of the largest waste treatment companies in Korea, for more than seven years since 2013.
She was also was a member of Korea’s Presidential Committee on National Water Management and has been a board member and Chair of the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee of LG Corporation since 2021.

She has been instrumental in the excellent performance of the company and growing the business in the last three years. With her experience, leadership and business acumen, EMK will continue to strengthen its position as the leading integrated waste management platform, supporting the circular economy in South Korea,” says Jopy Chiang, CEO of KIT’s trustee-manager.
