Revolut, the global financial superapp, has appointed Charles Debonneuil as its Asia Pacific (APAC) general manager.
The appointment comes as Revolut continues to focus on growth in the region. The superapp is currently present in Singapore, Australia and Japan.
In his new role, Debonneuil will focus on building Revolut’s local growth teams and developing the business’ growth strategy, driving rapid new user acquisition in the APAC region.
Debonneuil is a co-founder of Lazada. He was also the former chief marketing officer (CMO) at the leading e-commerce platform.
Prior to joining Revolut, Debonneuil was the president of leading e-commerce solutions company Intrepid Group.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Charles to Revolut as we double down on our commitment in the APAC region. As we continue to deliver more of our core products to the region, Charles’ extensive expertise is a valuable addition in helping us scale our presence in the Asia-Pacific market and getting our global superapp into the hands of more customers,” says Revolut’s global general manager and head of marketing, Ankit Khemka.
