Mapletree Industrial Trust (MINT) has appointed Eng-Kwok Seat Moey as an independent non-executive director. Her appointment will be effective from Oct 1.

Eng-Kwok, who is currently a consultant at law firm Allen & Gledhill, was formerly the group head of capital markets at DBS. She stepped down in March this year after 36 years with the bank.

The banking veteran is also called “the mother of Singapore REITs (S-REITs)” for her role in the creation of CapitaLand Mall Trust (CMT).

Units in MINT closed 4 cents lower or 1.61% down at $2.44 on Sept 25. As of the same date, Eng-Kwok holds 74,317 units in the REIT.
