PGIM Investments, the global intermediary business of PGIM, has appointed Brenda Leow as head of Southeast Asia, effective Dec 10.

Based in Singapore, Leow will lead the wholesale sales and distribution of the firm’s investment strategies across key markets in Southeast Asia.

According to a Dec 10 announcement, Leow will be responsible for broadening and deepening PGIM Investments’ client network in the region, expanding partnerships with private banks, family offices, wealth managers and global financial institutions in Asia.

Leow brings more than 20 years of experience in the asset management industry across sales and distribution, marketing, as well as product development.

Most recently, she was head of business management at SBI Digital Markets. Prior to this, she spent close to a decade at Natixis Investment Managers and last served as head of wholesale and retail sales for Southeast Asia.

She also held roles at Fullerton Fund Management, Deutsche Asset Management and SG Asset Management.

Leow reports to Jessica Jones, PGIM Investments’ head of Asia.

Jones says Asia is poised to lead in wealth creation globally, and PGIM Investments is seeing growing demand from investors for “innovative strategies” across public markets and private alternatives. “Brenda’s deep expertise in sales and distribution, combined with the breadth of her financial intermediary relationships, will be integral in reinforcing our long-term partnership with clients and growing our business in Southeast Asia,” she adds.

PGIM is the US$1.4 trillion ($1.87 trillion) global asset management business of US-based and New York Stock Exchange-listed Prudential Financial.

After nearly three decades serving Asia’s institutional investors, PGIM Investments made its services available to the region’s high-net-worth individuals in 2021. The firm now offers asset management services across public fixed income, global equities, quantitative solutions, real estate, and other private alternatives.
