RHB Banking Group is appointing Ahmad Badri Mohamad Zahir as chairman, replacing Azlan Zainol who had recently retired after being with RHB Bank since 2005.
His appointment will be effective from March 24. Badri has been non-executive director and deputy chairman of RHB Bank since Nov 16, 2020.
He is currently chairman of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and was previously on the boards of Bank Negara Malaysia, Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan), Permodalan Nasional Berhad and Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

He had served in various capacities within Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance for close to 30 years, last holding the position of Secretary-General of Treasury.
Khairussaleh Ramli, group managing director of RHB Banking Group, says that Badri brings fresh perspective and a wealth of knowledge and experience to the group.
