Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) has appointed Tow Heng Tan as a non-executive and non-independent director with effect from June 1. He is also appointed as a member of the board’s executive committee.
Tow,65, is currently CEO of private equity firm Pavilion Capital International, a position he has held since 2012. He previously served as the chief investment officer of Temasek International from 2007 to 2011.
Other roles he has held include senior director of DBS Vickers and managing director of Lum Chang Securities. He was also an investment banker with Schroders Singapore.

Tow is a Chartered Accountant (Singapore) with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). He is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK).
