current group executive committee (EXCO) member and president commercial Tan Lee Chew is taking on a newly created position as the group chief commercial officer (market development) and president of smart city & digital solutions.

The strategic role is dedicated to driving the company’s growth in smart city and digital businesses. In this capacity, Tan will help build market presence and enable customers to create digital experiences as well as transform operational efficiencies through the use of cloud, artificial intelligence, data analytics and internet of things, among others.

Tan will maintain her oversight of the company’s urban solutions and satellite communications businesses, a role she assumed since joining ST Engineering in September 2021.

The company is also expanding its EXCO with the addition of Jeffrey Lam, its president of commercial aerospace business since March 2020. Alongside his current responsibilities, Lam will continue to lead the ST Engineering’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Shares in ST Engineering closed 4 cents higher or 1.09% up to $3.68.
