Yoma Strategic has appointed Cyrus Pun as an executive director of the company. Pun will be officially appointed to the role on Sept 1. He was previously the alternate director of his father, Serge, who resigned as executive chairman of the company on July 24.
Pun, who is also the CEO of Catalist-listed Memories Group, is the brother of current chairman and CEO, Melvyn.
Yoma Strategic, on July 24, announced that Serge will step down as chairman and Melvyn, who was already the CEO, will take on the added role as chairman. Cyrus will rejoin the board as a director, said the company at the time.
On Aug 9, Yoma Strategic also announced the appointment of Alberto Macapinlac de Larrazabal as a non-executive non-independent director. Larrazabal was the alternate director of Jaime Alfonso Antonio Eder Zobel de Ayala, who was a non-executive non-independent director. Zobel de Ayala was appointed to the position on Nov 10, 2022, and will leave to focus on new principal commitments, according to Yoma’s filing on Aug 9.
Zobel de Ayala is the co-CEO of AC Industrials, the industrial technologies arm of Philippines’ Ayala Group. He is also a director of AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp.
Larrazabel is the chief finance officer (CFO) of Ayala Corporation.

Shares in Yoma closed 0.4 cents lower or 3.88% down at 9.9 cents on Aug 8.
