SINGAPORE (Nov 29): SC Global Developments has launched a luxury hotel apartment residence in Niseko, Japan, beginning with private previews conducted in Singapore this week, with previews in Niseko officially starting in early Dec.

Named Setsu Niseko, the residence is slated for completion in 2021 and will feature 190 apartments spread over 2.54 acres of prime freehold land.

It marks SC Global’s first development project in Japan, where the company also owns a commercial building in Ginza, Tokyo.

The development will comprise four blocks with furnished luxury apartments spanning six floors in the form of studio units, one-to-four bedroom units, and ultra-luxury penthouses starting at 439 sq ft, 994 sq ft and 1,518 sq ft, respectively.

Prices begin from approximately US$0.5 million ($0.7 million) for a studio apartment, whereas facilities will include restaurants, an onsen spa and wellness centre, concierge services as well as a bar and an open-air courtyard.

In a press release on Thursday, SC Global says Setsu Niseko has already attracted keen interest from potential buyers with over 500 queries.

It adds that non-residential buyers of the property will be able to enjoy “peace of mind” with professional management and letting services to third party guests to generate investment returns.

“We are excited to have this opportunity to offer investors a creation of great beauty, with traditional Japanese elements fused with modernity in a way that harmonises with the natural landscape. We are confident Setsu Niseko will give holiday-makers a chance to redefine their family’s holiday experience in the best ski resort in Japan,” says Simon Cheong, founder and chairman of SC Global.
