An announcement on SGXnet put out by Sabana Industrial REIT’s manager has a statement by Quarz Capital Asia. It appears that there was some sort of a law suit between ESR Group, E-Shang Infinity Cayman (the Claimants) and Quarz Capital Asia, Quarz Capital Management, Jan Moermann, Havard Chi and Klaus Willie (the Defendants) that started on July 31, 2023 in the High Court of Singapore in HC/OC 492/2023 (the Suit).
According to the statement, in OA 492, the Claimants alleged that the Defendants are liable to them for defamation, malicious falsehoods and/or conspiracy relating to statements published in or around 7 June 2023 to 26 July 2023 (collectively, the Publications). The statements were published in the context of a requisition for an extraordinary general meeting of Sabana Industrial REIT’s unitholders to vote out the manager. The Defendants have agreed to withdraw 10 Publications and three re-publications.
The Publications were in the form of open letters which appeared on various websites including on the SaveSabanaREIT website and Linkedin.
