SINGAPORE (Oct 29): Go-Jek on Monday launched a portal through which drivers can pre-register to use its platform. By signing up, drivers will have the opportunity to be among Go-Jek’s first driver-partners in Singapore.
"The portal, which can be found at www.go-jek.com/sg/join is the only official online channel for Go-Jek driver pre-registration", says Go-Jek in its press release.
Over the coming weeks, interested drivers who provide their contact details will receive notifications from Go-Jek with details and next steps on how to apply to join Go-Jek’s Singapore platform when the company launches.
Indonesian startup Go-Jek is in talks to raise at least US$2 billion ($2.7 billion) to fuel an accelerated expansion overseas, Bloomberg reported last month.
The startup’s existing backers include Tencent Holdings, Temasek Holdings and Warburg Pincus.
The Indonesian startup’s last funding round brought in about US$1.5 billion of new capital and valued the company at roughly US$5 billion.
