A tech conference organised by Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Informa Tech plans to gather government, tech and business leaders to “engage in conversations on trends, challenges and opportunities” surrounding the tech industry.
The Asia Tech x Singapore conference will be held from July 13 - 16 through both virtual events and physical events held at Marina Bay Sands (MBS). 3,000 attendees are expected at MBS throughout the conference.
The event will take place in the lead-up to the World Economic Forum, which will be held in Singapore in August.
Following the recent loosening of restrictions for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE), larger B2B events can host up to 750 physical attendees with pre-event testing, up from 250 people previously.

Other events include ATxEnterprise, a B2B platform for the Telecommunications, Media and Tech industries, ATxImpact, a collection of events fostering socialimpact and start-ups, and ATxPlus, which features a selection of conferences providing deeper insights into current business and technology-relaetd topics.
Lew Chuen Hong, chief executive of IMDA, says the event will bring together business tech and government leaders to shape the digital future. ‘“We look forward to igniting the conversations of thought leaders and change makers at the inaugural ATxSG,” he says.
Carolyn Dawson, managing director of Informa Tech, says the company looks forward to bringing representatives from global tech brands such as AT&T, AWS, Google, Huawei, IBM, Nokia, Oracle and Salesforce to the event.
“Singapore is breaking new ground with its steady and safe resumption of larger-scale events, and we will continue to work closely with our MICE industry players to strengthen our position as a trusted Global Asia Node for top business events,” says Keith Tan, chief executive of Singapore Tourism Board, which is supporting the event.
