SINGAPORE (Nov 15): Oceanus Tech, the research arm of seafood supply chain manager Oceanus Group, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with James Cook University’s (JCU) Singapore campus to further aquaculture research and development (R&D) efforts as technology partners.

In a joint release on Wednesday, Oceanus and James Cook University Singapore say they intend to co-operate and exchange ideas relating to aquaculture R&D, particularly in the areas relating to genetics, husbandry and aquatic animal health.

Both parties will also collaborate as technology partners in the delivery of aquaculture R&D to commercial and government end-users for future projects awarded to Oceanus Tech – with JCU bringing into Singapore its expertise in aquaculture training, as well as its R&D expertise in genetics, selective breeding, nutrition and aquatic animal health.
