Self-care goes high-tech in mtm labo’s
AI-infused approach to wellness

Homegrown beauty centre mtm labo has set its sights on taking wellness to the next level. Earlier this year, it launched AI-Vita, a treatment that incorporates artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies, such as super-polar radio frequency and electrical muscle stimulation.

Available at the mtm labo’s outlets in Winsland House and Wheelock Place, AI-Vita is an optional add-on body treatment to the brand’s existing facial packages. Both the facial and body treatments are customised to complement each customer’s unique needs.

“This complementary approach ensures that customers receive comprehensive care that addresses both their external beauty needs and internal well-being,” says Kelly Keak, managing director of MTM Skincare, the group managing mtm labo in Singapore.

My experience with AI-Vita starts with a skin assessment to identify suitable products for a customised facial. On this day, I’m told, my combination skin shows signs of sensitivity, with dryness in the cheeks and oiliness in the T-zone. The facial products selected thus lean towards soothing and purifying outcomes.

With AI-Vita, the face and body are treated holistically. A breakout on my chin indicates that a detoxifying massage is the most suitable body treatment. I’m told the massage will help increase blood flow to push out toxins and calm my body. The session lasts for about 30 minutes to 45 minutes, and the body treatment incorporates personalised physiotherapy techniques such as electrical stimulation.

At first, I notice a slight soreness in my abdomen, but this quickly dissipates as I become accustomed to the pressure and rhythm of things. By the end, I’m left relaxed and rejuvenated. I’m told that AI-Vita relieves indigestion and menstrual cramps, and can even help with postpartum repair, in addition to other benefits such as boosting immunity, relieving muscles and enhancing skin radiance.

Keak sees the introduction of this treatment as an opportunity for individuals to indulge in a moment of rejuvenation and relaxation. “We want to empower our customers to look and feel their best, inside and out. Whether it’s seeking relief from muscle tension, improvement in skin texture, or simply a moment of tranquillity amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life, AI-Vita meets the unique needs of the customer.”
