Imagine if your skincare could tap your body’s inherent ability to heal and renew itself. Augustinus Bader is doing just that with a new technology that transforms skin one cell at a time. Born out of over 30 years of stem cell research, the German brand’s technology-infused line isn’t just about looking good; it is about teaching your skin to be its best self.

The glow that comes from using Augustinus Bader products comes by way of its proprietary TFC8 (Trigger Factor Complex) technology. Developed by the brand’s founder, Professor Augustinus Bader, TFC8 is a complex comprising natural amino acids, high-grade vitamins and synthesised molecules that work synergistically to transport essential nutrients to skin cells, optimising cellular renewal and regeneration.

TFC8 mimics the body’s natural repair processes by activating dormant cells and promoting their ability to renew, making it effective in addressing skin concerns like ageing, fine lines, hyperpigmentation and redness. This technology lies at the heart of every Augustinus Bader product, offering benefits from smoothing fine lines to boosting hydration.

For those ready to invest in their skin, here are some of Augustinus Bader’s most famous skincare products, which I have been trying out over the past few weeks.

The Face Mist ($140)

The Face Mist combines TFC8 with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid and rose water to rehydrate and tone the skin while providing a refreshing boost throughout the day. It also protects against environmental stressors, such as pollution.

On my skin, the first spritz of The Face Mist feels like a cool, refreshing wave. I have used it both after cleansing and as a mid-day refresh, even over makeup. The mist instantly brings a dewy glow; I have also noticed less redness and irritation with continued use.

The Face Cream Mask ($333)

A newer addition to Augustinus Bader’s line-up, The Face Cream Mask is designed to breathe life into stressed, dehydrated skin. This lightweight mask hydrates, boosts collagen production and combats the signs of ageing. The TFC8 technology helps optimise skin restoration for both immediate and long-term results.

I have been using this in place of a night cream, and the results each morning have been nothing short of amazing. Left on overnight, The Face Cream Mask has my skin feeling incredibly soft. From the first use, my skin felt more elastic and refreshed; this is certainly a go-to for when my skin needs an extra boost of hydration and renewal. I will also be packing this for my future winter holidays.

The Cream (from $141)

A lightweight daily moisturiser, The Cream is designed for those seeking deep hydration. Powered by TFC8, it visibly reduces fine lines, improves skin elasticity and leaves the complexion radiant and refreshed.

On application, The Cream is noticeably lightweight, absorbing quickly without leaving any greasy residue. This makes it perfect for daytime use and under makeup, offering hydration without clogging one’s pores. With a week of consistent use, my oily-combination skin has become more even, and the fine lines around my eyes and forehead have visibly softened. The Cream has also helped soothe areas of irritation and sensitivity.

For those seeking extra nourishment, The Rich Cream is a thicker, more indulgent option. It is similarly packed with TFC8 and delivers a deeper level of hydration than The Cream. While I haven’t tried this product, it’s certainly a cult favourite with a strong following, especially among those with drier skin.

The Skin Infusion ($640)

The Skin Infusion is the newest standout in Augustinus Bader’s range. Powered by an advanced version of TFC8 and a plant-based Vitamin D activator, this intensive four-week programme is designed to reset the skin and support its natural repair processes. This product enhances the skin’s absorption of Vitamin D, which is crucial for maintaining a healthy skin barrier. The result is smoother, firmer and more luminous skin, with a visible reduction in fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of ageing.

My Skin Infusion regimen is simple: three pumps to the skin every morning and night. After the first week, my skin felt more hydrated and plump. I’m just halfway through the journey at this point, but it feels like my skin has been reborn, with fewer fine lines, a glowing complexion, and smoother skin.

Because of its active ingredients, The Skin Infusion needs to be kept refrigerated; it also has a short shelf life, so this is something to buy only when you run out rather than in bulk.

Singapore is the first in the Asia Pacific to launch The Skin Infusion; the product is available exclusively at the Augustinus Bader Counter in Takashimaya Departmental Store. Purchase of The Skin Infusion is by appointment only via https://bit.ly/abtheskininfusion. Other products in the brand’s line-up are available at the Takashimaya counter and online at www.takashimaya.com.sg, as well as in stores including Sephora.
