SINGAPORE (Feb 4): Ermenegildo Zegna’s Winter 2019 fashion show featured the My Cesare sneaker collection for men. This unique concept should go down well with those who fancy a distinctive pair of shoes.
The must-have sneakers, which are part of the XXX collection, feature an innovative multi-material construction. They can be customised with an array of Pantone colours for the logo, overlapping mesh and leather upper, leather detailing and extra-light rubber sole. This results in thousands of possible configurations.
Those who want to create their own My Cesare style can do so in-store at selected boutiques worldwide via Zegna’s interactive design application. The fully personalised shoes will be available in six to eight weeks.
Cruising along
Still deciding on that perfect handbag to carry this Lunar New Year? The Furla Metropolis S, which is part of Furla’s Cruise 2019 collection, has a range of crossbody bags with the oriental Serenity print. Look closely and you will see finely drawn images of a pig surrounded by pink flowers on a red background.
Nothing to hide
Rado’s HyperChrome Skeleton Automatic Chronograph is guaranteed to get a second glance. Crafted from matte black high-tech ceramic, the timepiece has a stark yet subtle look. Created by firing ceramic components with black pigment at 1,450°C in a high-tech oven, the super hard high- tech ceramic develops its matte black finish. The skeletonised or open-worked movement has its plate and bridges cut away, exposing the inner design elements of the movement. Offset by a polished black bezel, this is as far as you can push transparency and still retain a high level of readability.
Work of art
Proud to be one of the few watchmaking maisons to master the art of enamelling and hand-engraving, Jaeger-LeCoultre showcases its Métiers Rares, giving three new faces to its Reverso watches. The Reverso Tribute Enamel collection pays homage to the painters who share the maison’s values. The front dial is finely guillochéd by hand and covered with translucent Grand Feu enamel, twinned with a reverse face featuring an enamelled miniature from painter Alfons Mucha’s 1896 series of decorative panels, The Seasons. On this face, a sunburst guilloché appears in relief under the deep colour of its transparent enamelling. When the watch is turned over, a masterpiece reveals itself on the caseback.
Natural coverage
When buying a good base makeup, things to look for are flawless coverage, a natural finish and skin that is able to breathe. L’Essentiel Foundation by Guerlain ticks all the boxes. It gives a 16-hour glow with a lightweight silky smooth texture. Infused with carefully chosen, naturally derived ingredients, L’Essentiel beautifully enhances skin, thanks to its beneficial components. A duo of extracts derived from red algae and tara gums lets skin breathe and protects it from pollution
